Perched on the edge of the Pacific, just miles south of the village of Mendocino, the family-owned Little River Inn has been welcoming guests for five generations. Little River Inn offers guest rooms for all budgets, all featuring stunning ocean views, and many with fireplaces, luxurious steam showers, Jacuzzi tubs, or individual hot tubs. Dramatic and ever-changing ocean views provide a breathtaking backdrop for your stay.

The Little River Inn is renowned for its signature family-friendly hospitality – and that means we welcome families with open arms. This extends naturally to the four-legged members of your family as well, and there are many pet friendly accommodations from which to choose. And although the property is a historic gem, every effort has been made to accommodate those with special physical needs, including a number of beautifully-appointed ADA-friendly accommodations.

Electra

One of our most elegant and exclusive rooms. Electra is located on our Mallory House property, just a few minutes south of the main Inn, on the west side of the highway. It is a top floor suite, perched a hundred feet from the Pacific. A truly unique experience.

Amenities: 1,000 sq. ft., top-deck hot tub, gas fireplace, in-room Jacuzzi bath, ceramic tile bathroom, King bed, sitting area.

Hannah Madison

Hannah Madison is refined elegance and spacious simplicity. Located on the ground floor of our Mallory House property, just a few minutes south of the main Inn. From your bed look out toward the Pacific, or enjoy the view from a deckside hot tub.

Amenities: 1,000 sq. ft., hot tub, gas fireplace, in-room Jacuzzi bath, King bed, sitting area.

White Cottage

The White Cottage is the perfect secluded getaway. A stand-alone cottage on the west side of our Mallory House property, located just a few minutes south of the main Inn, it has sweeping views of Mallory Cove and the Pacific Ocean from the deck.

Amenities: 576 sq. ft., hot tub, gas fireplace, shower, King bed, sitting area.

Rosie's Cottage

Spacious and contemporary, ideal for relaxation and settling in. Rosie’s Cottage is located just south of the main property, a stand-alone property with vaulted ceiling, ocean views, and a secluded back deck looking into the woods. This is our most luxurious pet-friendly accommodation as well. Rentable as a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom unit.

Amenities: 1,500 sq. ft., hot tub, King beds, living room, gas fireplace.

Coomb's Cottage

Panoramic ocean views of the Pacific define the inimitable Coomb’s Cottage. This standalone unit is located just across the street from our main property, and is an absolute favorite among our long-time guests. The perfect blend of seclusion, beauty, and proximity.

Amenities: 812 sq. ft., hot tub, gas fireplace, in-room Jacuzzi bath, King bed, sitting area.

Van Damme

Our four Van Damme units (Brackenwood, Alice Abbot, Magaret Bullard, and Van Damme South) are located just across the street from the main property. These are front-row seats to the daily spectacle of the Pacific Ocean, whether you choose to watch from your Adirondack chairs, soaking in a luxurious hot tub on the deck, or enjoying breakfast at your table inside.

Ocean View Deluxe

Spectacular ocean views, spacious floor plans, luxurious tubs and showers, and comfortable balconies make these some of our most sought after rooms. Choose between an upstairs or downstairs room, King bed or two Queens, and even ADA or pet-friendly selections.

Amenities: 522-620 sq. ft., gas fireplace, large soaking tub, shower, ceramic tile bathroom, King bed.

James Dean

A very special Ocean View Deluxe room, this is the room James Dean stayed in while filming East of Eden – located right next door to the bar, naturally. Refined and elegant, with sweeping ocean views and a uniquely appointed bath, this is a room unlike any other on our property.

Amenities: 580 sq. ft., gas fireplace, in-room Jacuzzi bath, shower, King bed, sitting area.

Wood Fireplace

Known here as the ‘Old Favorites’, these are our four rooms on the main property that still have wood-burning fireplaces. Beautiful ocean views, cozy, and favored among many of our long-time guests. You’ll need to book these rooms well in advance – especially during the rainy winter months!

Amenities: Wood-burning fireplace, shower/tub, King bed.

Gas Fireplace

Located on the south end of our property, these rooms feature cozy gas fireplaces and ocean views, and are all pet-friendly. Each is unique, with its own perspective on the Pacific Ocean.

Steam Shower

Luxuriate with steam in one of our stand-alone cottages or Room 104, located at the south end of our property. The stand-alone cottages all feature private decks, wood floors, and their signature steam showers.

Amenities: Steam shower, gas fire.

Filtered View

We call them filtered views because the view of the ocean isn’t quite as unobstructed as in some of our other rooms – but many of our guests prefer these delightful rooms. Located at the north end of our property they overlook Van Damme State Beach and the Pacific Ocean through towering trees accented by climbing ivy – it feels like living in a treehouse with ocean views. The downstairs rooms here are all pet-friendly.

Traditional

Sometimes traditions stick around because there’s not much room for improvement. Our Traditional rooms are comfortable, affordable, and have sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean from your deckside rocking Adirondack chairs. A tradition well worth keeping intact.

Llama Cottage

Located up a private drive a few minutes north of the Inn, the Llama Cottage is a tranquil getaway, with beautiful gardens you can wander as you watch the ocean.

Johanna Brock

Johanna Brock is refined elegance and spacious simplicity. Located on the ground floor of our Mallory House property, tucked away in a private setting. The hot tub with deck looks out over an expansive lawn toward the Pacific, and is the perfect setting to relax.

Amenities: 1,000 sq. ft., hot tub on deck, gas fireplace, shower, King bed, sitting area.
